• Suicide is the second leading cause of death for youth and young adults in Canada.

• 1 in 10 Southern Vancouver Island youth have seriously considered suicide in the past year.

• 1 in 20 Southern Vancouver Island youth have made an attempt so serious they required medical treatment.

• Each year, between 25 & 40 youth in BC end their lives by suicide.

NEED2 Suicide Prevention Education and Support provides youth focused suicide awareness and prevention education in schools and in the community, as well as web based emotional support at Youthspace.ca.  For more information about our Programs and Services, please check out the Services section of our menu.
